If people want to drop off recyclable items in the north parking lot, there is no fee. However, if they want to then visit the Zoo, they would have to pay admission. If you weren’t able to do a spring clean earlier in the year, Brookfield Zoo Chicago is hosting a fall recycling event. Drop off your unwanted electronics, textiles, and used books between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Zoo’s main parking lot located at 8400 31st Street in Brookfield. Representatives from Brookfield Zoo Chicago and its partner organizations—eWorks and USAgain—will be available to collect and recycle a variety of items.
