At the north end of the Pullman National Monument, just blocks from the Visitors Center is one of Chicago’s hidden gems. The National Pullman Porter Museum is the only one of its kind worldwide. Since 1995, a magnificent 10-foot outdoor mosaic sculpture greets visitors and introduces this authentic history. Exhibits interpret and provide insight into the African-American experience in America's organized labor movement: The Legacy A. Philip Randolph and the founding of Brotherhood Sleeping Car Porters, America’s first Black labor union. Group tours also available by reservation only.
