BIRDWATCHING EVENTS HIGHLIGHT MIGRATING SPECIES
By Carrie Steinweg published April 26, 2024
With acres of wetland and prairie and several nature preserves, the Chicago Southland is a haven for our feathered friends. This time of year, birds are particularly active, some arriving back in the region after a seasonal respite and you may have an opportunity to spot species that you may not find at other times of the year.
Birding is a great solo activity and there are countless places to sit back and wait to see what comes to you, but if you’re looking to get in some steps with a group of people who are just as excited to seek them out as you, here are a few events you may want to put on your calendar.
