Guest Post - Fetching Market returns to Historic Ford Hangar
By Danielle Sparavalo published September 04, 2015
If your answer is no, you are in luck!
On September 11th & 12th the Hangar will open its doors to Fetching Market for the second year to the nearly 3,000 expected guests.
“Our concept is simple. Quality, vintage, handcrafted, antique and unique finds that people love,” says Pamela Dennis, owner of Fetching Market. “Having the opportunity to bring vendors and guests together in such a unique and historic venue that happens to be in my hometown…that is extremely rewarding!”
Dennis has always had a passion for finding “that unique piece.” Whether it was the bookcase for a nook in her office or the re-purposed bench that greets guests as they enter her front door, she knew that bringing these unique items together under one roof was something she had to do…so she did!
Items such as vintage glassware, furniture, barn finds, old doors and windows, vintage jewelry and clothing, handmade accessories, garden items, artisan soaps and lotions are just a taste of what you can expect to find at the pop-up market. With 54 vendors coming from all over the Midwest (5 states to be exact), she has no doubt in her mind that each guest will leave with at least one “fetch.”
Not only will marketgoers be greeted with twinkling garden lights and aisles upon aisles of unique treasures, but they will also have the chance to nosh on delicious local fare and sip on local brew from Lansing’s own One Trick Pony. Guests will enjoy listening to local musicians like Al Broomhead, Chuck Anderson, 2 Bukk Chukk and Big Top Band.
The Friday night Market Party welcomes guests with food from Cottage on Dixie, Cilantro and Lynnie Ques, cocktails and the chance to show their silly side in a photo booth provided by FOTIO. Guests will also be privy to shop prior to the market event which is on Saturday.
Saturday morning marketgoers can get started early by enjoying a Bloody Mary, mimosa, or a cup o’ joe! The same delicious food will be offered throughout the day as well as live music.
Guests will also have the chance to create their own souvenir as part of the “Make It & Take It Sessions” on Saturday. Choose from a sugar scrub with Ann Marie of Century Farmhouse Soaps or an Organic Bird Feeder with Jackie Riffice of Prairie Godmothers. Get additional information and sign-up HERE.
Find, taste and discover all that Fetching Market has to offer, all while benefitting the Ford Hangar Foundation. Happy Fetching!

Note: If you wish to use an absolute template path (for example, template="/mypath/index.cfm") with CFINCLUDE, you must create a mapping for the path using the ColdFusion Administrator. Or, you can use per-application settings to specify mappings specific to this application by specifying a mappings struct to THIS.mappings in Application.cfc.
Using relative paths (for example, template="index.cfm" or template="../index.cfm") does not require the creation of any special mappings. It is therefore recommended that you use relative paths with CFINCLUDE whenever possible.
