Vintage Market Shopping at Historic Ford Hangar

Have you ever looked at unique handcrafted, vintage Pinterest items and thought, “I’d buy that if only I could see it in person?” Well, the Fetching Market at the Historic Ford Hangar is like everything on your Pinterest boards, but BETTER because it’s in person with great food and drinks to enjoy as well.

Fetching Market will host the signature, vintage, pop-up market at the historic Ford Hangar at the Lansing Municipal Airport beginning Friday, September 9th with the Market Party from 5 - 9 PM and the Market Event on Saturday, September 10th from 10 AM - 6 PM.

Fetching Market takes pride in carefully selecting over 60 vendors from all over the Midwest. Market goers can expect to find items such as re-purposed furniture, antique & vintage jewelry, unique clothing and accessories for children, barn finds, collectibles, handmade accessories, artisan soaps, home décor, locally made gourmet delicacies, fall and holiday decorations and more.

“Our concept is simple. Quality, vintage, handcrafted, antique and unique finds that people love,” says Pamela Dennis, owner of Fetching Market. “Having the opportunity to bring vendors and guests together in such a unique and historic venue that happens to be in my hometown…that is extremely rewarding!”

Market goers will be greeted with twinkling garden lights and aisles upon aisles of unique treasures, but they will also have the chance to nosh on delicious local fare and brew. Guests will enjoy listening to local musicians like Al Broomhead, Al's Diner, Kazi Jo and 2 Bukk Chukk.

On Friday night, guests can take advantage of the first look and shop vendor merchandise while enjoying delicious cuisines from Cottage on Dixie of Homewood, The Gourmet Goddess of Munster, craft brew from Blue Island Beer Co. and wine. Guests will also be privy to shop prior to the market event which is on Saturday. Entry for the Friday night Market Party is $15, which also includes entry for Saturday, endless fun in the photo booth provided by FOTIO and live music.

Saturday morning market goers can get started early by enjoying a Bloody Mary, mimosa or a cup o’ joe! The same delicious food will be offered throughout the day as well as live music by Al Broomhead, Al's Diner, Kazi Jo and 2 Bukk Chukk. Admission for Saturday is $5. Children 12 and under are free both days.

A portion of the proceeds from the Fall market will benefit Love Wins – Diane Pranske Fund . Diane has touched hundreds of people in the community with her positive attitude and kind soul. She survived a violent, random attack in September 2015. The community has come together in numerous ways to celebrate the amazing person she is and raise money for her recovery.
