The Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police was awarded $6,329 that will cover 60 percent of the costs to design and print invitations, coupons and posters for their annual Midwest Security & Police Conference/Expo, August 18th – 19th. The conference, at Tinley Park Convention Center, attracts police officers and chiefs, FBI agents and security personnel from various municipalities, public and private institutions and large companies throughout Illinois and the adjacent states.

The Chicago Ridge Park District was awarded $1,631 that will cover 60 percent of the printing and advertising costs for the Western Open Miniature Golf Tournament June 27th – 28th. The Western Open features professional and amateur miniature golf players from all over the world. The miniature golf tournament is a 10 round tournament sanctioned by the United States Professional Miniature Golf Association.

The Chicago Southland CVB’s Local Tourism Marketing Grant Program is designed for not-for-profit organizations and / or municipalities for promotion of their festivals, events, and attractions targeted to visitors outside the Chicago Southland region. Annually, the Bureau can award up to $66,000 in six grant cycles. The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau’s grant program has been in existence since 1991 and recently awarded its millionth grant dollar.

The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official destination management and marketing organization for Chicago’s 62 south and southwest suburbs.
