GET "CRACKING" THIS EASTER IN THE CHICAGO SOUTHLAND!

Easter is Sunday, March 31, and we are “eggs-tra” excited to celebrate here in the Chicago Southland!

Easter egg hunts

Fun for all ages abounds this year! Adults can get in on the action with the Adult Egg Hunt on March 21 at Yunker Park (10824 West LaPorte Road, Mokena). Participants 21+ will enjoy games, a light buffet dinner and, of course, an Easter egg hunt!

Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center in Olympia Fields will host a night-time Flashlight Egg Hunt on March 22. Grab your basket and flashlight and get outside! Participants will enjoy a fun spring craft following the egg hunt. Two different time slots are available: 7:30-8:15 p.m. and 8:30-9:15 p.m. Make sure to register in advance!

Head to Kennelly Park (11500 South Beloit Avenue, Worth) in the Village of Worth for the town’s annualWorth Pk Dist Egg Hunt Photo.JPG community Easter Egg Hunt on March 23. Participants will be divided into different age groups from 0 to 12 years old. Pre-registration is required!

The Easter Bunny himself will be in attendance at the City of Markham’s Easter Egg Hunt & Celebration on March 23. Swing by Roesner Park (16053 Richmond, Markham) to hunt for eggs and take pics with the cuddly Easter Bunny!

Visit the Village of Orland Park for a Lucky Egg Hunt on March 23! Taking place at the Centennial Park Ballfields (15600 West Avenue, Orland Park), egg hunters may find a “lucky” egg with a special surprise inside!

The older kiddos can search for hidden eggs with prizes inside at the Flashlight Egg Hunt at Yunker Park in the Village of Mokena. Participants ages 8-13 are invited to use their flashlights to search for the Golden Egg on March 27!

The Village of Monee will hide a whopping 5,000 eggs for their Egg Hunt on March 30. Hop over to Firemen’s Park (5218 West Court Street, Monee) to join this gigantic Easter egg hunt!

Chow down with the Easter Bunny

Beginning on February 23, stop by Orland Square for a fun Bunny Photo Experience! Meet the EasterOrland Park Easter Bunny With Kids TaggedCorrectly.jpg Bunny through March 30. Photo packages to meet every budget are available. Plus, bring your furry friends along for Pet Night on March 10 from 6-7:00 p.m. so they can meet the bunny too!

On March 23, the little ones can enjoy Breakfast with the Bunny at Terrace Centre (11500 South Beloit Avenue, Worth) before the Easter egg hunt! Fill up on a tasty breakfast, enjoy fun activities and take photos with the Easter Bunny. Registration is required.

The Village of Lansing welcomes the Easter Bunny on March 23 for Breakfast with the Bunny at Lansing Christian School (3660 Randolph Street, Lansing). Starting at 8:00 a.m., pancakes provided by the Lansing Copper Muggers will be served alongside a visit with the Easter Bunny! Tickets are $6 per person and can be purchased in advance online or the day-of at the door. Proceeds from the breakfast will go to helping Lansing families in need.

Join the Easter Bunny for some donuts in Mokena at Yunker Barn (10824 West LaPorte Road, Mokena) on March 23. Donuts, coffee and crafts will be available, and attendees can take pictures with the Easter Bunny!

Celebrate on March 30 by having Breakfast with the Bunny at the Matteson Community Center. A delicious breakfast will be served, followed by an egg hunt for hidden treasures. Special surprises are in store for attendees!

Fun for every-bunny

Beginning on March 16, the 1950s Park Forst House Museum, Park Forest Historical Society will be celebrating Easter, Passover and the 75th anniversary of Park Forest! The museum will be decorated with die-cuts and vintage Easter baskets. The Passover exhibit will include the Jews in Park Forest display. Adult tickets are $5 each and the museum is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 1-3:30 p.m. and other days/times by appointment.

Looking for a unique way to celebrate Easter? Chase the Easter Bunny at K1 Speed Mokena on March 31! Special races will be available throughout the day. Are you faster than the Easter Bunny? Prizes for lucky racers will be available, like t-shirts, free races and race packages. Races run from 12:00 p.m. to close.

Take advantage of the Easter Sunday Special at Haunted Trails Family Entertainment Center (Burbank) on March 31. Half-price games will be available from 12-5:00 p.m. Bring the whole family for an unforgettable day of fun! Plus, Haunted Trails Family Amusement Park & Picnics (Joliet) will also be offering half-price games for their Easter Sunday Special!

With all of the fun Easter “hoppenings” throughout the Chicago Southland, every bunny is sure to have an eggs-cellent holiday!
