The 2015 corn maize design celebrates the Midwest Wizard of Oz Festival at Odyssey Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maize. Click your ruby red slippers together because there's no place like Chicago Southland! Included in this festival will be Wizard of Oz costume characters, children / adult costume contests, Auntie Em Pie Eating Contests, Dorothy Gale Farm Area with a petting zoo, cow train and so much more! Also featured will be an auction with unique Wizard of Oz collectibles.

There is no place like Monee for fun. Free admission & parking with great bands, food, beer garden and a parade carnival with family entertainment. Throughout the fest, you’ll want to watch the Great Lakes Timber Show, which is a lumber show featuring chainsaw carving, ax throwing, wood chopping, one and two-man crosscut sawing, log rolling and a lot of clean family humor. On Saturday, there is a spectacular fireworks display. On Sunday, you’ll want to wake up early for the Cub Scout Pancake breakfast and then view the Classic Car Show. Also on Sunday, is the chance for children with special needs to ride for free from 12-2PM. There will also be a Color-A-Thon Fun Run and a Beanbag Tournament on Sunday.

Experience the delicious meals from local food vendors, shop from arts and craft vendors, drink and be merry at the beer tent while rocking out to the live musical guests all weekend long. Let the kids enjoy bouncing around on the inflatables and challenging themselves in the obstacle course. There is also a teen area, where all the cool kids will be hanging out. Admission, parking and shuttle buses are free.

This FREE event is a community favorite and encompasses numerous entertaining activities throughout the day. Attendees this year will enjoy live music, including 2 children’s concerts from prominent children’s musician Laura Doherty and the Heartbeats. The Southwest Community Concert Band will be performing midday. And the headlining band, Brass from the Past, is considered by many as one of the best brass cover bands in Chicago. There will also be a petting zoo, pony rides, inflatable bouncy houses, kids crafts and gaming, face painting, balloons, bingo, cocktails, food, raffles and MORE!

This popular event pays homage to autumn and features a day of enjoyment for the entire family. Pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, live music, a climbing wall and numerous children's activities are all a part of the fun. Don't forget to visit Plum Creek Nature Center to add even more fun and adventure to your day. Staff will guide you in a host of exciting activities: you can watch birds at the feeders, meet resident reptiles, view busy bees, explore the nature playscape, visit the campfire and check out tiny worm bin creatures under the microscope. There is a lot to see and do during "Fall Fest" and there is always something new to discover!

Come see re-enactments of World War II camps, weapon demonstrations, enjoy performances from the Andrews Sisters or watch a baseball game featuring the Rockford Peaches. Listen to authentic sounds of WWII produced by Digity in our concession area. Join us in our tribute to WWII Veterans and all service members. Stay for the most realistic WWII battles to be reproduced with pyrotechnics, aircraft flyovers and vehicles from the period including WWII tanks. Things really heat up Saturday night with a free USO concert in Dellwood Park's outdoor band shell. The beer garden will be open, so stop by for a drink because this event only happens one a year. Free event for all ages.

Last year the exhibit, "Abraham Lincoln: Self Made in America" came to the Chicago Southland Lincoln Oasis. The traveling exhibit was created by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. The exhibit features eight kiosks and covers Lincoln's childhood, the Lincoln-Douglas debates, the 1860 Presidential election, the Civil War, the 13th Amendment and Emancipation Proclamation, his assassination and other important periods and events in his life. This is a temporary exhibit, so don't miss the opportunity to learn about a famous part of America's history!
