“Party in the Park” is a three day event which runs June 26th – June 28th and will consist of top bands from the state of Illinois and the United States. The Village of Orland Hills was awarded $1,378 to use towards updating the event website and print 10,000 brochures which will be used as a direct mail campaign.

The 2015 First Midwest Bank Half Marathon and 10k will take place on May 3rd. The event includes a half marathon, 10k and a half-mile race for athletes with special needs. The race was awarded $5,000 and will use the money for design and printing costs of promotional materials, print ads which appear in “Runners World,” “Chicago Athlete” and “Running Times” as well as digital advertising.

The Chicago Southland CVB’s Local Tourism Marketing Grant Program is designed for not-for-profit organizations and /or municipalities for promotion of their festivals, events, and attractions targeted to visitors outside the Chicago Southland region. Annually, the Bureau can award up to 66,000 dollars in five grant cycles. The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau’s grant program has been in existence since 1991 and recently awarded its millionth grant dollar.

The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official destination management and marketing organization for Chicago’s 62 south and southwest suburbs.
