Baylor Youth Foundation, The Big 3 Nike Series Amateur Basketball NCAA Certified Tournaments, Village of Matteson - $7,500 Baylor Youth Foundation will host the Big 3 Nike Series in the Chicago Southland area. These three tournaments will bring in over 10,000 players, parents, college coaches and spectators to Matteson and the surrounding areas. The grant will cover a portion of the costs to update the tournament website, design and print fliers and place ads on ESPN, Facebook and Twitter.

Chicago Gaelic Park, Irish Fest Promotion, City of Oak Forest - $7,500 In 2013, the 27th Annual Irish Fest will take place at Chicago Gaelic Park in Oak Forest over Memorial weekend. The event attracts between 20,000 and 60,000 (depending on weather) nationally and internationally. The grant will pay for a portion of the ads in Irish American News, Irish Echo, and Irish Voice as well as design and printing of festival brochures.

Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, Midwest Security & Police Conference/Expo, Village of Tinley Park - $5,738 The Midwest Security & Police Conference/Expo (MSPCE) will be held August 20-21, 2013 at the Tinley Park Convention Center. The grant will cover 60% of the costs to design and print invitations and posters, as well as design for a website update for the event.

Village of Orland Hills, 2013 UAAA Boys 11 & Under Fast Pitch IL State Tournament - $3,000 The Village of Orland Hills and the Orland Hills Wolves Youth Baseball, Softball and T-Ball Association will be hosting the 2013 UAAA Boys 11 Years and Under Fast Pitch IL State Tournament June 20-23, 2013. The grant will cover 60% of the costs for the creation of a webpage for the event, as well as a Clear Channel Online Bulletin Board.

Under New Mentality, Tangled Cord Appointment & Barber Battle I, Village of Matteson - $2,202 This is a new event targeted towards individuals in the barbering industry, spectators and vendors with a Barber Competition, Natural Hair Showcase, Networking Event and Car Show. The grant will cover 60% of the costs to design and print directories and commercials on Barber World TV and K92.7 WKZJ FM.

Homewood-Flossmoor Park District, Wifflefest, Villages of Homewood & Flossmoor - $1,000 Wifflefest is a wiffle ball tournament for 18-35 year olds. This grant will cover a portion of the costs to advertise on Chicago Red Line and Players Sports Group.

Aloha Tournaments, Chicagoland LAX Getaway, City of Oak Forest - $417 This is the second year for this youth lacrosse tournament for boys and girls from middle school through high school and will be held in September at Gaelic Park in Oak Forest. The grant will pay for 60% of the costs for their direct-mail postcards.

Mokena Community Park District, 2nd Annual Summertime Stride 5K Run/Walk, Village of Mokena - $675 The 2nd Annual Summertime Stride 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for June 8, 2013. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit The IL Action for Healthy Kids. The grant will pay for 60% of these advertising costs.

The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau developed the Local Tourism Marketing Grant program in 1991, and since the programs inception has awarded over $952,000 in grants to assist not-for-profits and municipalities in promoting their events and attractions.
