Lansing, Ill. – With the harshness of winter behind us and the beautiful bloom of spring happening all around, let the 2015 Spring / Summer Festivals & Events Guide be your source for non-stop family fun in the Chicago Southland.
The guide, which spans May - October 2015, includes many family-friendly activities. The 29th Annual Irish Fest at Chicago Gaelic Park, May 22nd – 25th, is a must attend event. Offering Irish entertainment from around the world, petting zoo, Irish sports and more, Irish Fest at Chicago Gaelic Park is a wonderful value for the whole family. Celebrate the 100th year of the Dixie Highway with the Drivin’ the Dixie event June 20th. Described by many as the “World’s Greatest Rolling Car Show” the event helps you experience the towns and history along the Dixie Highway. Starting in Blue Island and ending in Momence, this is a travel and explore at your own leisure event.
Amateur golfers will descend upon the Olympia Fields Country Club August 17th – 23rd for the 115th U.S. Amateur Championship. Since 1895, the best amateur golfers in the world have raised the Havemeyer Trophy in triumph. Miss the Kentucky Derby this year? Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 12th for Super Night at Balmoral Park Race Track. Offering an evening of fun, excitement and non-stop entertainment, enjoy the “Most Exciting Night in Harness Racing.”
