Out and About with the Brewmaster's Wife: Fun and Games at Evil Horse Brewing Company

You may have heard of Evil Horse Brewing Co. in Crete or you may not have yet. It’s a great place to go and get some stellar beer in our tap room, but did you know that there’s tons of fun to be had there as well?

Before I get too far into this, let me introduce myself. My name is Amy Kamp and not only am I the director of sales for Evil Horse, I’m also married to the brewmaster! Being the brewmaster’s wife has a lot of perks, including drinking great beer, getting to be a part of a lot of fun events and meeting some really awesome people along the way. A lot of those awesome people I’ve met have been customers that come into our tap room, many of which have become friends.

We love when people come to Evil Horse because they either want to try our beer, or because they’ve tried it and they love it. We also love to have fun events in the taproom, where people can come with their family and friends to have a great time.

No matter what your taste in fun is, we’ve got something that you’re sure to enjoy. Love bingo? That’s the last Monday of every month! Want to paint your own masterpiece? Come to paint night! Want to play cards with a fun group of people? We’ve got a euchre night and a pinochle night every month.

If you love live music, we have open mic night every Thursday at 7:30. We also have some amazing local talent play a variety of musical styles numerous times each month. And with the weather warming up soon, the food trucks will be back! We’ve got some great food coming your way!

If playing board games is your thing, we always have a great variety of them waiting to be played. We love to see a group of beer lovers engaging in a game of Yahtzee or Connect Four! There’s also old school darts for you dart fans.

If playing games makes you hungry, there is a great restaurant located on the second floor of our building. The Loft makes excellent pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads and more. All you have to do is call in your order from the comfort of your seat, and friendly servers will bring it down to you. You can also bring in your own food, or call for delivery from several local restaurants.

We hope that you come visit us soon! Evil Horse Brewing Co. is located in a historic building at 1338 Main Street, on the corner of Dixie Highway and Exchange Street in Crete. We are open Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 11:00, Friday from 3:00 to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 8:00. Tours of the brew house are available the last Saturday of each month at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00.
